Last night at Cubscouts, LB made (sanded, constructed, and glued) a helicopter.
Let me tell you it took all of my energy to not run over there and micromanage him. I wanted SOOOO badly to say "OH here honey, let me help you." But I resisted the urge...and know what? I'm so proud of us both. Him for growing and learning with his group...and me for letting him do that. I want so badly (Like all parents) to keep him from frustrations. I KNOW he has to learn to deal with it, but it's so hard to actually practice letting go.
Sorry for the crummy picture. I took it on my phone. At least this experience has taught me one thing. I'll never go to a meeting without my camera!!!

PS Littlebear is the second from the right. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to get six little boys to all look in the same direction!!! *laugh*
