Halloween 2007

You know, Halloween is my favorite holiday. But this year I had to struggle for the ole Halloween Magic. It took till Oct 26th to get down my Halloween box. But in the end....it all worked out.

Actually I'm suprised I even have a Halloween Blogpost. Littlebear spent the previous night vomiting from 12am-9am. I kept him home from school. (You can imagine how appreciative he was of missing the school party....no "Thanks mom for washing every sheet in the house....or....Thanks Mom for holding my head while I dry heave.")

LOL but I digress. (boy Ang...want a little cheese with your whine?!?!)

But only an act of Congress could keep him from Trick or Treating.

Remember how I Vetoed the whole "Let's buy you a new Halloween outfit" a couple blogposts ago? Well I stuck to it. This outfit I bought around the "Scary Movie 3" time. (2004) I wanted the spooky robe to cover my chunky witch form that year.

LB saw it and HAD to wear it. Thank goodness I'm a crafty Grrrrrrl. I was able to make it fit with very few alterations.

After he Tricked....then he Treated. I actually made him stay outside (with me, of course) and hand out candy to the other kids. I'm not sure, but I think he had more fun doing this than walking around the neighborhood. What a great kid!

I'm trying VERY hard not to spin off into a rant about Teenagers that carry around a pillow case and expect candy. Or about the fact that they don't even say "Trick or Treat." So I'll reach deep inside my memory and remember how when I was that age....My parents thought I was insane too. But keep in mind...I'm trying not to rant!! LOL

All in all I had a GREAT Halloween. It just keeps getting better and better with LB.
Love, Ang
P.S. Is it bad to hide the "Good" Halloween candy in an empty Slimfast box?? I'm not sure I'm strong enough to part with all the Almond Joys....

You did good sticking to your guns ... and hiding the yummy candy :)

We took Nugget on base and she thought it was the coolest thing that people were giving her candy. Of course we taught her to say "trick or treat" and "thank you."
